Hyperthyroidism

Hyperthyroidism: refers to the clinical syndrome caused by the enhancement of thyroid function caused by a variety of causes, thus secreting too much thyroid stimulating hormone- TSH. Typical symptoms are rapid heartbeat, anxiety, tension, weight loss, common symptoms:

Overall state: nervousness, irritability, increased perspiration, hand tremors, anxiety, trouble sleeping,weight loss, abnormal body temperature, night sweat, pigmentation, muscle weakness.

Hair: hair loss and thinning.

Eyes: exophthalmos, eye distension, eye pain, blurred vision, fear of light, foreign body sensation, corneal ulcers, maudlin

Neck: thickening of the neck, thyroid nodule, and pressure on the throat.

Circulatory system: heart racing,palpitation, tachycardia, hypertension, arrhythmia.

Nerve: hand tremors, periodic limbs paralysis.

Digestion: a great increase in diet and an more frequent bowel movements may occur, and diarrhea is common.

Reproduction: menstrual periods may occur less often, or with longer cycles than usual, infertility,

Hypothyroidism:also called underactive thyroid or low thyroid, is a disorder of the endocrine system in which the thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroid hormone . The disease can cause many symptoms, such as chills, fatigue, constipation, depression, and weight gain

Hashimoto's disease: is an autoimmune disease in which the thyroid gland is gradually destroyed.  The disease may be asymptomatic at first, but some patients eventually develop hypothyroidism, which leads to weight gain, tireness, constipation, depression and systemic pain.
