Reflux esophagitis

 Reflux esophagitis. Patients present with typical symptoms of gastro-esophageal reflux, but can also be without any reflux symptoms, only with dyspepsia such as epigastric pain and discomfort. The typical symptoms are substernal burning sensation (heartburn), reflux and chest pain. Heartburn refers to the burning sensation radiating from the back of the sternum to the neck, and reflux refers to the reflux of stomach contents to the pharynx or mouth. Most of the reflux symptoms occur after meal, and the serious night reflux affect the sleep quality of patients.
